Galapagos Sea Turtle
At 133,000 square kilometers, the Galapagos Marine Reserve is one of the largest marine protected areas in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Galapagos Islands provides critical nesting beaches for green sea turtles. Every year turtles travel from Costa Rica, Salvador, Columbia, mainland Ecuador, Peru and Chile to nest.
