  • Baby Humpback

This baby humpback was curious about us and would come in for a close look while his mom was resting.  To witness the relationship between mother and calf makes you appreciate these wonderful creatures even more.  This image was taken in the Silver Bank Marine Sanctuary, Dominican Republic.

  • Trunkfish Close Up

    $125.00
The Spotted Trunkfish is part of a family known as boxfishes.  They have a hard outer covering of hexagonal plate-like scales shaped like a box.  Their eyes, snout and fins stick out from their hard outer covering.  This hard shell also accounts for their unusual movement in the water - all the action comes from their fins and tail while their body remains still.   Grand Cayman.

  • Galapagos Hammerhead

    $125.00
Hammerhead sharks have special sensors that run under their wide heads which allow them to pick up on electrical signals sent out by other living creatures. This makes them tricky to photograph as they will avoid the bubbles that scuba regulators create when a diver exhales.  Although I could often see more sharks than I could count, to get a close up like this, I had to hide behind rock formations for a shark to come close enough.  Darwin Island, Galapagos.

  • Spring Apples

    $125.00
This conservation area is home to many deer where between the meadows and bush they are able to find food and shelter.  In early June, I found a pair of yearlings snacking on this old apple tree.  Despite the grass and flowers up as high as their backs, there was something much tastier in the tree. • Parental Supervision

Just before this picture was taken, this poor family was attacked by a swan trying to take one of the goslings.  After fighting off the swan the family swam to shore for a few minutes of quiet and rest.  Whitby, Ontario.

  • Yearling Antlers

    $125.00
You never know when you come across wildlife if they will be comfortable enough to let you stand and watch for any length of time.    I came upon two teenage moose down in a gully on a trip to Algonquin Park.  This young bull is just starting to grow his 2020 horns and graced me with some nice head shots.  In this one he stopped mid meal and still has a blade of greenery hanging out of his mouth.  Algonquin Park.

  • Cache Lake Sunrise

    $125.00
Up very early to catch wildlife in good light, the sunrise and mist on this stretch of lake was too much to resist.  I ended up using a zoom lens to focus on the reflection of the log on the water and as an unexpected bonus also captured the spiderwebs covered with dew.   Algonquin Park.

  • Roadside Moose

    $125.00
On a slightly drizzly day, this cow moose had this small meadow beside the road all to herself.  Out in the open, she was able to get some relief from black flies and have a good meal at the same time.  Algonquin Park.

  • Tea Lake Sunrise

    $125.00
Up at dawn to look for moose by canoe, the sunrise was reward in itself.  The cool morning air created lake fog which provided extra texture to the sunrise. North Tea Lake in Algonquin Park.
