This small spit of land is home to a colony of Adelie penguins and Fur Seals.

This image was taken by shooting into more direct sunlight which created a sparkly effect on the water and leaves the seals and penguins slightly more shadowed. This view gives a different perspective on the Antarctic landscape with the snow and glacier covered mountains in the background. February is still summer in Antarctica. While the seals and penguins are enjoying the sun the water remains cold at just above freezing temperature.

Location: Prince Gustav Bay is on the east side of Trinity Penninsula, north of James Ross Island in Antarctica.
